Must stay places in Tasmania

The Barn Tasmania

Almost constantly booked out on Air BnB,

The barn is one of Hobart's most coveted place to stay. Capturing the rustic heritage of the barn, while bringing in the modern living. The design embraces the tension between new and old materials, with the gap between the new floorboards and existing stone walls in-filled with black ply to accentuate the narrow space, and the black palette of the kitchen in contrast with the sandstone and warm oak floorboards. Carefully-chosen midcentury and locally made furniture continues to build the barn’s unique character.

Captains Rest

A stunning secluded waterfront Heritage Cabin, on the Tasmanian West Coast.

Captains Rest is a generous 2 place for two. The best looking out the antique windows to the waterfront. A large light filled space delicately styled to pay homage to the cottage feel.

A collection of linen, dried flowers, old portraits and a colour palette of white, greys and blacks.

Glass doors in the kitchen have been replaced with antique french doors that are more beseeming to the original cottage feel.  The kitchen was designed not for practicality but one of beauty. "A place to play with collections, make a mess and able to hide all the dishes in the sink."

Two hand-carved beds have been combined, making a one comfortable large bed. Offering a stunning view of the forest and ocean.
